How to do it

  1. Confirm the full Speed Queen product and rating-plate codes and the applicable manual. These top-load procedures do not apply to front-load cleaning cycles.
  2. Observe normal lid-switch operation as described in the manual. Stop use and seek service if it does not operate correctly; never defeat the switch.
  3. Check whether the machine remains level without moving or tilting it. Arrange qualified adjustment if it rocks or moves.
  4. Follow the manual’s method for the upper two to three inches of the tub, using its permitted cleaner and wash settings. Keep cabinet and control-panel cleaner restrictions separate and leave the agitator installed.
  5. Record the care completed. Accessible hose inspection, six-month screen service and five-year professional maintenance have their own tasks.

Stop and get help when

  • Lid interlock does not operate normally
  • New movement or unusual noise
  • Water remains after a cycle or appears on the floor

Stop for interlock faults, leaks, unusual noise or movement and arrange qualified appliance service.
