How to do it

  1. Confirm the exact softener, controller, manual and salt type. The supported Water-Right IM manual specifies six-month brine-tank cleaning when pellet or rock salt is used.
  2. Ask the installing dealer to confirm whether the condition applies. Solar-salt use does not acquire this interval from the pellet/rock condition.
  3. Have a qualified water-treatment professional choose the approved cleaning procedure and perform safe isolation, cleaning and reassembly. Do not add resin cleaners or iron-cleaning salt without the dealer’s model-specific approval.
  4. Record the completed service and salt condition. Revisit the requirement if the salt or installation changes.

Stop and get help when

  • Leak or overflow
  • Wet controls
  • Unclear salt additives or cleaning instructions

Use a qualified water-treatment professional for pressure isolation, chemicals, internal cleaning or unresolved water-quality problems.
